Getting Started with Your Case

We appreciate your choosing our law firm to assist you with your financial needs. We are looking forward to helping you get a fresh start and achieve your goals.

As a new financial client, we will need detailed information (which is kept in strictest confidence) for your bankruptcy attorney to review in preparation of the petition for bankruptcy.  The Bankruptcy Initial Intake Form is posted here for your convenience.

You may download and complete the Bankruptcy Initial Intake Form prior to your appointment with your bankruptcy attorney or you may complete it at the office before meeting with the attorney.

Documentation

Bankruptcy laws have changed in the past few years.  There is documentation required in the presentation of a petition for bankruptcy.  At Feller Law Office, we use the Bankruptcy Client Checklist to help clients build their document file.

We have found that the more detail clients can give us along with the required documents, the faster we can prepare the bankruptcy petition and have it filed with the bankruptcy court.   You may want to retain the originals of your documents; scanning them into a PDF format and placing them onto a CD for your attorney or making copies with a copy machine will present acceptable documentation for your files.

The Bankruptcy Initial Intake Form and Bankruptcy Client Checklist will open in the Adobe Reader on your computer.  (Adobe Reader may be downloaded at no charge on http://www.adobe.com)
